Scenic By-Ways minutes away

| Scenic Drives - Come drive any number
of paved highways or gravel back roads. There's hundreds of winding, hilly, scenic Ozark
hill county miles to drive. |
| Early spring brings gorgeous redbud and dogwood
blooms. Late spring brings that special green glow as the trees leaf out. Summer shows its
deep green for as far as you can see. |
| Fall brings color you'd expect. Drive area roads,
picnic along the way, or just come back for a meal at Anglers before you return to your

80,000 acres of public hunting lands

| Hunting - Black bear, whitetail deer, wild turkey,
gray and fox squirrels, bobcat, and wild hogs all thrive in the 80,000 acres of public
lands near Anglers. |
| Old logging roads give you quick fast access to mast-laden,
uncrowded blind locations. You can leave your room at Anglers and be in your stand within
15 minutes. |
| Archery, muzzle loader, and modern rifle seasons stretch out
hunting seasons for several weeks |

Deep underground in the Ozarks

| Blanchard Springs Caverns - Two guided tours take
you through living cave formations in rooms larger than a football field. The brave can
take the wild cave tour. |
| Above ground there's a swimming beach with lifeguards and bath
houses on a beautiful Ozark mountain stream. Picnic sites with tables and firepits are
also found along the creeks. Shop at the Caverns store. |
| There is an old stone mill standing below a waterfall at Mirror
Lake which also offers some fine trout fishing too. |

| Shopping - The Ozark Folk Center, as well as
several shops in Mountain View, offer a vast selection of art, crafts, and decor made here
in the Ozarks. |
| The area is best known for its handmade pottery, which is
considered some of the best in the world. Handmade woven baskets, candles made from real
bee's wax, jams and preserves, wrought iron, furniture, paintings, and many other quality
items make great gifts. |

Nature photography opportunities
|
| Nature Walks, Nature Photography - Wildflowers,
some 120 species, are easy to find along roads and trails. Butterflies swarm on the
flowers. Birds and small mammals are a common site. Colorful moths come out at night. |
| With patience and study you'll also find black bears, bobcats, gray
and red foxes, whitetail deer, hawks, and eagles. |
| For macro photography you'll find many bizarre insects such as the
giant walking stick and several species of mantis. |

Syllamo Bike Trail
|
| Mountain Biking - Within 10 minutes of Anglers is
one of several accesses to the Syllamo Mountain Bike Trail System. This stacked loop
mountain bike trail is over 30 miles long. |
| You ride up, down, around, and across several deep Ozark ridges,
along streams, and stop for rests at overlooks. Unless you are extremely well conditioned,
riding the Syllamo in one day is all but impossible. |
| Book a room for two nights at Anglers and you'll be close to the
trail with a place to return in the evening for a meal and a shower. |
